Maple French Toast & Bacon Cupcakes

I love making & experimenting with cupcakes. I know it might sound weird but I love looking at cupcakes too. You eat with your eyes first so I think it’s important for them to look at pretty as possible. I have a homemade white cake mix I use when I’ve got time but a premise package of cake mix is better for the busy schedules of most.

What you’ll need:
1 box white cake mix
1 can cream cheese frosting
Oil
3 Eggs
Water
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Maple syrup
Bacon

1. Preheat oven at 350*
2. Mix cake mix, oil, eggs, & water together.
3. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, & maple syrup to taste. I say to taste because you might like it lighter but I like it heavy.
4. Bake & remove from cupcake tin.
5. Let cool completely
6. Cook your bacon & set aside

For Frosting
1. Stir open can of cream cheese frosting
2. Add cinnamon & nutmeg to taste
3. Use a piping bag & tip to apply your frosting to your cupcake
4. Crunch & sprinkle your bacon on-top of your cupcake
5. Drizzle maple syrup over your cupcake {{ I use a small spoon }}

This is your scrumptious outcome

These are my favorite cupcakes to make for myself and for others. They’ve quickly become my boyfriends favorite too. Each time I make them he eats at least 5 in a 12 hour time span. If you try them please let me know how you like them.

Indeed. It doesn’t sound like a likely combo for a cupcake but I’m glad I threw things together.
