Hello Spring!

Today is the first day of spring. I myself am excited! I’m so tired of sleet, snow, & freezing rain. I know I’m not the only one…I’m a fairly talkative person so yes I took a pole amongst people I came across these past couple of days.

I’ve been thinking and compiling a list of things of like to do this spring. I want this spring to be different from the ones before. I want to try things I’ve never tried before. I want to take myself out of my comfort zone and let myself know it’s ok to fail.

My Foolproof plans
01. Finishing my medical coding class.
02. Build a pallet bed swing. How awesome is this going to be during the day while reading a book or blogging on the iPad!?
03. Fill a vase with fresh flowers every weekend. I love the way flowers smell. It’s also known the bright colors can put you in a good mood. It’s the simple things.
04. Visit the farmer’a market every other weekend.
05. Make a watermelon cake. Minus the coconut because I’m allergic.
06. Go on trail run/walks every {other} weekend.
07. Spend more time outside. It might be doing school work or reading a book but after the winter we’ve had, I just want to be outside.
08. Participate in a run. More than likely the shortest distance so I don’t embarrass myself or others.
09. Spend more time on the beach. Summer gets hectic at work so vacations are nearly impossible from May-September.
10. Get more involved with my crafts & start some DIY’s. I miss doing this, after all.. The name of my blog is “The Crafty Side Of Sarcasm”.

What are your plans for this spring??

I definitely won’t be taking any warm weather for granted this year. Wish I had a deck so I could have a pallet swing too!!

I might put the swing on a tree in the backyard. There is a couple acres behind my house and it would be awesome to watch the deer, rabbits, & other woodland creatures frolic about.

It was 70* today and I’m so giddy. Although, it’s supposed to snow again next Tuesday. I can’t wait for some burgers on the grill. Happy Thursday!

I’m going to start with a 5K until I’m fully ready. There is one in May, I’m going to check with my girlfriends to see if they’d like to join.

  3. Hi Leslie! I’m stopping over from Let’s Get Real today. I love your list. Spring is a great time to set some new goals and work on them. It’s like New Year’s all over again. I am really looking forward to some nicer weather. It’s still pretty cold here today, but at least the sun is shining.

I’m looking forward to spring… not because the weather makes a huge difference here, but it means summer is coming and life will be less hectic! I have a huge goal list, but nothing specific for the spring. I would love that bed if I had some place to put it. Thanks for linking up with Countdown in Style.

A short run sounds good. I have a 5K on Saturday called the Strollin Colon Run in support of Colon Cancer Awareness. It should be more fun and than work. That’s for sharing this at the Let’s Get Real Friday Link Party last week. I hope you’ll join us again. The party goes live at 5pm EST tonight.

Like you, I am now officially tired of winter :) But I never thought to be intentional in the way in which I want to enjoy spring. Love this thought! Going to make my own list. And also, check out the watermelon cake which sounds like something my family would enjoy. So glad I stopped here from The SITS. Have a great weekend!

I like specially your plan 03. Even though it should be easy to grap along a bunch of flowers during grocery shopping, they often get passed. Have to try it, too.
