I’ve never made New Year resolutions or goals because.. Well I don’t really know why. This year I’ve decided to try my hand at a few and keep them! With that said I decided to take on a few mind numbing projects like organization. If you know me then you know I have always had full intentions of being organized but where my intentions fail are the overwhelming anxiety I get. {You’ll know what I mean when you see my closet before & after}.

I started with the bottom of the closet. I knew I had a lot of handbags but had no idea how many!

I FINALLY got all my clothes hung up & out of the huge laundry basket they were stacked up in. I found a new place for my excise & bender balls {that didn’t have a lot of use in 2013} when I deflated them & put them back in their box & in a hall closet to be forgotten about to use at a later date. After pulling all the stuff out & cleaned up I moved my other plastic bin filled with socks, hair products, & exercise clothes into the right side of the closet. It turned out to be the perfect housing for a few of my favorite bags. Here is the outcome:

Next I put together a cube storage bin. I took it outside to spray paint it first {which I should’ve taken pictures of for a DIY project. It’s so cold outside I didn’t think about it} but after it dried I brought it in to take the pain staking hour 1/2 to put it together. The little stand I had my tv on was a piece that I refurbished a few years ago. It was a piece I sort of through in my room, just to hold my tv. I just got tired of looking at it and what a great way to start a new year with a new piece of furniture that’s functional? When I say functional I mean to hide all of my junk. To help hide all my junk I bought 3 boxes that fit perfectly in the little spaces. TADA!

I’m proud of myself! I didn’t get hurt and I took a few hours out if day to get myself organized.
